The i3 Collaborative is dedicated to enhancing resident education and improving patient care. Our focus is on improving patient care metrics through term-based education and training, as well as measuring the incorporation of best practices in competency-based medical education into residency programs. We also promote collaborative conferences to bring the community together.
Overcoming Barriers
The i3 Collaborative strives to overcome barriers in teaching practices, quality improvement work, and patient care efforts.
Supporting ACGME Recommendations
The i3 Collaborative allows participating organizations to meet the ACGME’s newest recommendation of participation within a “learning collaborative” or “learning network.”

Connecting Family Medicine Residencies
The i3, established in 2004, includes family medicine residencies from the Southeast. The goal is to expand membership to other family medicine residency programs in the Southeast.
